SIZING

We use our own sizing systems. Numerical and Free Size.​

When choosing your Hilda Ereaut pieces, we highly recommend referencing the garment's measurements before picking your size, as the measurements will give you a better indication of the appropriate size for you. These can be found on the product's page. 

The numerical sizes currently run from 1 through 8 and are for the more traditionally cut pieces that fit closer to the body. 

The free sizes Ⅰ and Ⅱ simply translate to free size small and free size large. 

This size method allows for a garment to be appropriate for more than one person, their proportions and size will matter less to the fit, while still holding the intended structure and aesthetic.

MATERIALS

Many of our textiles are sourced from merchants who specialize in reclaimed and dead-stock fabrics. This means that some of the color and fabric options we offer may be limited.

We always prefer to select natural fibers and materials where possible, including our labels which are 100% cotton. However, we may choose a synthetic or man made fiber if it is important to the design and performance of the garment. If this is a concern for you please make sure you check the fabric content information on the product page before purchasing. 

You will notice on the product pages that some of our garments are pre-laundered. This is a process we have developed to enhance the patina of our silks. 

We use no plastic in our packaging or labelling. All of our garments are sent in packaging that is either garden grade compostable or recyclable.

Please adhere to your local recycling and composting regulations so we can limit our waste footprint.

Please note that some of our fabrics require extra care and therefore following the laundering directions is essential for your pieces to live a long and happy life!

 

COLOR ACCURACY 

We try our best to accurately show the fabrics and colors of our garments. Because of variation in device screens and computer monitors, we cannot guarantee that colors will be exactly as they appear on your device.
